I had to return my first set of S&S pipes for my 83 Air Cooled. They would not fit under the body. The second set fits and sounds good but they welded a angle piece to the muffler skin and it broke at the welds (muffler leaks). They should use a wrap around strap. The sheet metal on the shell is too thin to be a good weldment location. Any way $116.00 + Double freight and it was about $150.00 The gaskets suck and leaked, Add $8.00 for gaskets. I like the system .......... just wish they would go up $20.00 on the price and do it right. I changed to my federal system to get inspected and haven't reinstalled the S&S but I'm thinking about fixing the leak or begging for a replacement muffler ( hell will freeze over July 18, 2003)
