I found a wrecking yard that sells Subaru Legacy 4/6 engines for $450.00 ------- your choice out of the car. Want the wire loom, same price you pull the engine. They make similar deals on Saab Engines + Extra for the tranny but overall 165 hp. Frank has posted several in depth engine options selections over the past year and you'll find them in the archives. If I had a Waser boxer (thank god I don't) I'd give up 4" of rear deck height and go for BIG CUBES.
