They are... in Germany (by the way, VW dropped the VR designation some time ago, and it's now just V6. But nobody makes an adaptor kit (flywheel, sdaptor plate).

The Subaru Legacy-generation engine is a far better one though, and is a BOXER. Hence the Subaruvanagon list. Big choice of engine capacity, power (100-300+hp) and even number of cylinders (4 or 6).
