What many of you are missing are the following benefits;

Have you ever had your brakes over heat and fail in your loaded Westy down a long, steep, winding grade? The vented rotors overcome this problem.

Have you ever had your front brake rotors warp? The vented rotors overcome this problem.

How long do your rotors and pads last? I bet the bigger brakes will last much longer.

Of those who had the kit installed and didn't notice much difference. Do you have new rear drums and shoes installed or are they worn out? Is your master cylinder in good shape? Did you flush the complete brake system? Are you comparing your tiny 14" tires and old brakes with bigger 15" tires with the big brakes? Taller tires do decrease braking power. My Syncro would be damn scary with stock front brakes.

Oh yea. Did you adjust the brake proportioning valve that is recommended?

I had one customer e-mail me after installing the big brake kit and said it saved his Vanagon from being totaled. He said he had to slam on his brakes to avoid someone who pulled out if front of him. He said there was no way his original stock brakes would have stopped in time.

What I noticed on my Syncro is that it takes much less pedal effort to stop than before. They are not so overworked now. The original front brakes on the Vanagons are a joke by their or today's standards. With that much weight they should have had the vented rotors to begin with.

I am very picky about what I sell. If I don't believe in it I won't sell it. My main biz is auto repair not parts sales.
