Second only to the OSHA approved liverwurst hammer. I would rather decide for myself how to prevent my radio from being swiped rather than have some diabolical former torture chamber master make it so I who own said radio can't use it. Best move is to replace the critter with something that works a little better. I use an ancient BP Reno because of the remote feature and the aux input for the Nomad Jukebox. Thummer on the wheel. The older Sydney uses a smartcard to lock unlock and store your preferences. Most can be had second hand for less than $100. Similarly for the CD head units. Brent C has installed a BP San Jose MP3 device, says it's great. Donate the pesky doodad to the local dealer as a spare for the cost if installing a more useful replacement. pensioner (certifiable retrogrouch with 13 year old car and 6 year old radio/cd) |
