Yes, people have died from heater core failures. Dennis ------------ reply ---------- VW in Canada was still honoring a heater core recall for A2 (1985 - 1992) jettas and golfs last year. Apparently some heater cores had ruptured and burned the passenger. If your old golf or jetta has a leaking heater core, as a couple of my cars did, try and get it fixed under the recall.
