> The fuel pump on my 85 1.9 WBX has been making this noise as if a giant bumble bee Those are the bearings in the fuel pump letting you know they are becoming worn. I would be especially concerned if the buzzing noise starts changing. My '85 started buzzing this summer and I had to replace the original fuel pump on my '88 Audi about six months ago. I would recommend replacing the fuel filter at the same time. Fuel pumps are $150 at Bus Depot and $160 minus list discount at Vanagain.com . Keep in mind that an excessively loud fuel pump could stop with no other notice. Good luck, Chris, '85 Westy. |
