As far as stock and S&S header system for the 1.9l Vanagon there is not much difference in price. I sell the stock 1.9l Vanagon exhaust for $300 (that is everything except the cat which you can add for another $99) and the S&S header system for $280. There is a $20 difference. Unless you are really sold on the idea that the S&S system is going to increase your horsepower, etc. I would definiately go with the stock system. The stock systems I sell are made by JPGroup (Dansk) who are original parts suppliers for VW.
