Just as the subject line says, I managed to source two more complete sets of
'military only' Michelin XCL tires.  These were stock on some Syncro 16s, VW
Iltis, some Range Rovers and they have some Paris-Dakar rally fame as well.
I currently have these tires installed on my Syncro Double Cab and they
measure out a little over 29" tall.  Because they are so narrow fitment
isn't a problem on a Syncro 14.  Off road performance is totally fantastic,
I have driven over clear cuts with sharp sticks and have never even come
close to a puncture - highway performance is really good (10 ply) but a
little on the loud side!  You can see a few good photos of these on my web
site in the gallery section.  New these tires are close to $350 CAD / $240
USD each according to Michelin Canada.

All these tires are in perfect condition and the used ones are very even so
there is no worries about putting these on a Syncro.  The only fault is one
of the 9/16" tread tires (these are basically new tires), there is one tire
with some slashes in the side wall - it certainly will hold air and drive
down the highways safely, I would just mount this one as your spare just to
be totally on the safe side!

Only two out of the three sets will be sold as I want to keep one set for my
Syncro.

I also have two sets of 5 new Syncro 16 steel wheels in stock (5.5x16 ET34)
at $149 USD each.
