They simply pull off, but they will hang up on the faceplate so be careful since it requires some tension to get them off. Move the one that you want to remove to the center of its range and the adjacent lever to one end or the other. Also, the rubber ends will pull off sometimes so I try to grab them by the rectangular shaft instead of the end. If an end pulls off, they can be glued back on.
