       Steve, I'm no expert but from my understanding of the fuel injection 
system it will give the proper amount of fuel needed at any given time 
because of the AFM telling the computer how much air is being let in.  The 
mixture that is being set is for idle and 2000 rpm so that it will not idle 
with excessive fuel use and/or load up the engine with excessive carbon 
deposits which will make for rough acceleration from the idle position.  If 
Bob could chime in here, I'm sure he can explain it better than I can.
