i beefed up my 91 jetta and would carry about 1000 lbs in it. before the beefing up that i did, 600 in the back would bottom the suspension if i hit a pebble on the road. 800 lbs of concrete in the back seat is pushing it all by itself. the strange part is that the idiot also had all that strapped to the top of the vehicle with just the loading twine.. no wonder that load shifted to the rear and then put the entire weight on the rear suspension.
