The 85-87 Vanagon Camper model (non-GL) came standard with a 110-VAC/12-VDC portable refrigerator and an auxiliary battery to run it under the drivers seat.

It is a Dometic RE160E and draws 8-amps at 12-Volts. My Optima battery will run it for 6 hours maximum, since I try not to let the charge level fall below 25%.
