This info should be available from O-ring manufacturers.
Generaly all o-rings have to be installed in the groove.
Without groove o-ring will not seal, as you tighten it will stretch and pull
etc. You could use it for banjo fitting if it has groove. Afaik banjio fittings
seal using high pressure over small area, copper washers may work well.
