If you're just in a tight spot and need to seal one banjo fitting you can wrap the banjo stem with thin lead solder and crush it to make your seal. The solder compresses into a solid seal under the pressure of tightening the banjo bolt. It does not require excessive torque to seal. This is a temporary fix. If I recall correctly the Britts tinned their banjo loops for proper sealing on early model MGs, Triumphs and Healeys. You can find a good supply of copper banjo washers at Harley shops. Industrial hose suppliers will also have a good selection. I've also cut copper washers from copper / aluminum plumbing pipe .......... takes a fine tooth hacksaw and a steady hand but it resolves emergencies.
