Subject: My other car won't start, 'cause i messed with the brakes...
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

While my Vanagon is having problems of its own, I thought sombody might know why my 95 toyota celica won't start, after I scraped some rust off the edge of the right rear brake drum. It ran fine before I took the tire off and tried to clean some surface rust off...So now when I turn the key, it turns over a couple times, then this rapid clicking sound can be heard, and the brake warning light comes on. Is there a sensor that I have damaged or soiled in the rear brake drum, that is telling my computer not to allow the car to be started? I never should have touched the brake, I had made an appointment to get it fixed on Tuesday anyway...I really want to work on my own cars, but I must admit that my ignorance is only eclipsed by my ability to make things worse.

hanging my head in shame, Rob
