Greetings All, I find generators to be annoying. You really need to ask yourself if you NEED that much power. When camping or full timing it, I prefer to rise and rest with the sun. Maybe a big citronella candle outside. Too much lighting only brings the bugs. If you really need the power, try a campground. With a generator you will find yourself making everyone else angry or camping with those Mega campers that look like greyhound busses, with the occupants entrenched inside because the outside is not adequately climate controlled. A 5 watt solar panel is plenty. If you must bring a laptop, go with at least 100 watt. That is about $600 for the privilege of writing on your computer. The other side of this is that you now have something of value inside your van. This is a dilemma to me because it ends up making me worry about my "stuff" instead of being free to back country camp for a few days with no worries. SIMPLIFY! Rob |
