I have a set of the folding sun shades and they are holding up well. I find that I don't use them very much though, since they hardly make any difference in the interior temperature of the van here in Florida. My best advice is to park in the shade wherever possible. I posted a whole list of things you can do to make your van more comfortable in hot climates earlier this year. (http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0204A&L=vanagon&P=R8009) A more complete list is also posted on www.westfalia.org and in the file section Wolfsburg_Camper group on Yahoo!Groups. Tim
