Just working this out. You don't need too much water - just enough to fill up the lentghs of pipe. Probably another 2 gallons at most. Most home systems require less than 20 gallons, and thatıs for thousands of square feet. And depending on what it ran on, you could install a thermostat on the pump that'd keep it above freezing....
