Thanks, Jeff. I talked with a speedo repairman recently. He told me the little number at the bottom of the dial (850 on mine) tells how many RPM's of the cable should equal 60 MPH. Since I didn't have a calibrated source of RPM's, your idea makes excellent sense. Thanks. Dale
