I routed the cable fromt he solar panel through the driver side air intake on the side of the body near the rear of the van. From there, it exits into the engine compartment and under the engine and body of the van to the vent tube for the battery compartment. Then up the tube into the battery compartment and into a cabinet I installed behind the passenger seat. That's where the charge controller is mounted. Then the cable comes out of the charge controller, back thru the battery vent and across to the battery vent for the aux battery behind the driver seat and up through the vent to the battery. Hope this helps. There are some photos on my web site at the following link: http://members.fortunecity.com/davebaker1/westy/id20.htm
