One recently is for a Westy heating system that uses the stove top, but vents to the outside. I have heard of this upside down flower pot on the stove heating scenario. --------------- Clip ------------------ I do all of my winter camping in my Westy in State Parks or Pay-For-A-View parks and get the electric hookup. I use a $20.00 Holmes 120 v Electric Cube heater that I got at WalMart. It works good and has a thermostat that works very well. It heats well enough to give good heat clear down into the 30s with the Pop-Top up. Might hold its own below that with the top down. Along with the heater I run my TV/VCR and everything gets real comfy. (TV/VCR is 12v/120v) Having used both Coleman Gas Catalytic heaters and Alcohol Catalytic heaters I've just got to say I don't trust them. Its been some years since I've used them and then it was in breezy deer binds or duck blinds with plenty of fresh air slipping in. The US Army sees fit to vent their Tank Catalytic heaters to the outside and I think that without proper outside venting you're just asking for trouble. I've heard a lot of success stories about various heaters but sealing yourself up with one of them might get you in the news. I'd suggest a down filled jump suit before I'd use a Catalytic heater.
