Just heard on the news today that two hunters were found dead in their deer blind, apparently of CO poisoning. The blind was small and made out of wood, with practically no ventilation. They were using a propane heater.

I would *not* recommend using a non-ventilated propane heater in a Vanagon, *especially* while asleep. Even if you're awake, the initial signs of CO poisoning are subtle, and like hypoxia and alcohol intoxication the first thing to go is the judgement you need to realize you're impaired.
