Okay, let me take a stab at it.

Your Voltage is 12 volts Your Current is 3.5 Amps

What you need to know is Watts, which BTW is how we Canadians measure power consumption. So we pull out Ohms Law which states R = V/I (V= Volts, I= Current, R= Resistance). Resistance is the same as Watts in this case.

So... 12 / 3.5 = 3.429 Watts 16 / 2.6 = 6.154 Watts

hmm... Something is not right here. Have you switched your amps around. It would make more sense if you did. Because the wattage should be the same.

12 / 2.6 = 4.62 Watts 16 / 3.5 = 4.57 Watts

This is more like the answer I was expecting.
