It wouldn't apply to all because the number of revs per mile varies from
vehicle to vehicle.  For example, the rev/mile of a 2WD Vanagon, which
takes its speedometer drive directly from one of the front hubs, is much
lower than for front wheel drive VW cars, which take it off the transaxle.
