Well, it's Friday, so I'll ask. I seem to remember some messages last week about posting. I thought it was the usual thread about "please delete most of the previous post when you reply to keep the digest short," which I do, but it may have been something else.

Suddenly quite a few people have begun putting their replies at the bottom, instead of at the top. I much prefer to see the reply at the top, with the previous message below it, as I find it far quicker that way. If it is a thread I am following, I don't have to scroll down through a bunch of stuff I have already read to get to the new post. If it is a thread I am not following, it is probably because I wasn't interested in the first place, so I am not going to read it anyway.

I did a search and found some email tips pages, and there is no agreement on this issue, so I would like to find out what other list members think about it. It is possible (although, of course, highly unlikely) that I am wrong.

I don't want to start a new thread on-list, since, while list related, it is not Vanagon related, so please p-mail me with your opinion. If enough people reply to make a meaningful sample, I will post the ratio of tops vs. bottoms (no, not that kind, shame on you) to the list.
