Hi Billy,

I have used the All data CD set at a friends garage. They do come in quite handy. They are written for the independant mechanic who needs to quickly navigate through many different types of systems, and componet locations for a wide variety of Car Makes and Models..

The All Data list a set of service bullentins and member shop mechanics comments on various known trouble areas and how to cope/solve them. This can be quite useful in quickley getting up to speed on a specific brands issues.

The VW Vanagon advice goes into all the recalls, quite a few, but then all the other makes I sampled had lots of them too! The All data also list Service Bullentins, and how to accopmlish them

For example: They have a bullenting that the dealer distrubted to mechanics for troubleshooting the "bucking or intermittent power cutting out" that is at least two pages of things to service, clean or check in sequence.

All in All I'd say that the Alldata CD is definetly a solid resource. I found some minor inconsistances, but would not hesistate to follow the procedures and recommendations when attempting to repair an vehicle that is unknown to me or has problem I've not ever dealt with before.

Sincerely,

Mark Keller 91 Carat Cowichan Bay, BC
