looks like a good solution, for an adventurewagen. However, I don't think I really need to tilt it while its on the westy roof, as I'd only be using it when parked, and when its parked, the roof is up. If the roof isn't facing the sun, no amount of tilting is gonna get it there.

Were you able to just buy the mounts form rvsolar? Didn't see them listed separately on their website, but I didn't try to get in touch with them...
