Who cares about heating the van ? ............... Its my butt I'm trying to heat. I use a down filled sleeping bag and have never been able to spend the full night in it ............. too hot. -------------- I'm of the opinion that VW Engineers did a good job in designing the Westy as a weekend camping vehicle. They solved the necessity problems with sleeping accommodations, cooking fuel, refrigerator, water supply and a nice alternator to recharge your battery after a long days use. If you're just terrified of waking to a dead battery; take a weed eater engine, couple it to a VW alternator and you've got your own jump starting devise.
