Whoa! - Hello unnecessary hostility. Oh yeah - it's Stan. That's your schtick, right? I forgot.

I have the thermal underwear - I have the 0 degree sleeping bag - I have the girlfriend AND the dog for warmth. I'm exploring other options.

Forgive me and my open mindedness and the search for fun new ideas.

But before you do, since you so characteristically decided to leave a discussion after you've had your last word, please consider my rebuttal.

Which will heat more efficiently?

A forced air heater AND thermal underwear. Open door - there goes all the hot air. Only heat source is a small heater to heat all the new air.

Radiant heating AND thermal underwear. Open door - there goes all hot the air again, but your entire surface area of your floor and a lot of the metal body of your van will still be warm and heating the air that is in there.

Look - I'm not disparaging you or the way you do things. I'm just looking at all the options, and from the amount of GOOD DISCUSSION that it's prompted, I think it's worthy of further discussion.

Anyone who agrees, please feel free to chime in. I really appreciate all the responses so far, and have learned a lot about ALL the different heating options.
