Well whaddyaknow! They are available again! The model 1600 Heatsource puts out 1.5KW (translates to 5,125 BTU) and draws 1.2 amps for about $625. FYI in addition to Karl's link (below) here's the Propex company link: http://www.propexheatsource.co.uk/

Truma makes small propane heaters similar to the Propex. They're available through the Reimo catalog, though I have no idea if they will ship to the US. The Trumatic E2400 produces 2.4 KW (8,200 BTU) and draws 0.6-1.1 amps. I seem to remember the E2400 being in the neighborhood of $950. See... http://www.truma.de/english.html and http://www.reimo.com/files/Zubehoer2000GB/310ReimoGB.pdf for more info.

There's also the Espar Airtronic 2. 7.500 BTU, 0.67-2.8 amps. Available in right here in the US, but also spectacularly expensive at well over $2,000, correct me if I'm wrong: http://www.espar.com/htm/Specs/airtronic2.htm
