I'm not trying to dis Mr. Bulley by leaving him out of the P-mail I have sent to Patrick I'll remember to cc: you in the future.

Stan ------------------------------------------- Start with the simple stuff: (Check the compression before you do anything else)

#1) Check to see that each plug is firing by pulling each wire off and putting it back. #2) Check the points .016 #3) Check the timing if you can get it to run at less than 1000 rpms. 7.5 degrees. After TDC #4) Tighten the intake manifold bolts. #5) Clean the inside and outside of the distributor cap. #6) Wipe off the top of the spark coil. #7) Remove the valve covers and check to be sure your lifters are adjusted right. Look for any metal particles inside the valve covers that might be chips from the adjusting screws or valve stems. You might have a solid lifter cam if you have a carburetor engine. #8) You might have condensation in the tank (there is 1.5 gallons that you never get to use). You can put the driver side wheels on a curb and drain this 1.5 gallons and check for moisture by removing the fuel line from the rear of the gas tank.

Stan
