Speaking of good deals.. I had been shopping for a van for a while to replace my 72 westy.. I shopped around and set my budget around 3500 for a regular 7 passenger. WEll I see an ad in the local trader for an 88 with 130k bt no price listed. I call the guy and he tells me that he is out to go fishing call later. I ask him his price.. he says.. well you see... my nephew that lives with me just bought me a brand new GM luxury van. I just dumped 3500 into the vanagon getting her ready for a road trip to baja (new tranny, tune up, new brakes, recharge AC and new AC Pump, new tires, alignment, emissions repairs etc)... I dont want to deal with this thing now is what he tells me and says he would like 2500 but 1250 in cash would take it!! I now have three road trips in it and 'Fred' is running like a top!!! SCORE!!! Anyway.. tom
