The Plat Cat has been out of production for about 3 years. Arnie Lind of A&L Enterprises is servicing and selling refurbished Plat Cat heaters as available. . He If you can find a used one like I did you can send it to him for repair if needed. He has new mats, blowers, etc.  
I visited him last spring and they are hopeful of getting manufacturing back up. Even some designed  for the Vanagon is being considered.

Anybody know what one of these runs for, either new or refurbished?  I've
tried emailing the company for some pricing info but have not yet seen any
prices.  Even an approximation would be appreciated, since it would at
least give me SOME idea of what I should or shouldn't be coveting.  Thanks,
