This weekend we finished installing mine into the bus. We used a wire tester and tested the blue/red wire to see if it was recieving power when the bus was on, and that it wasn't when the bus was off. Just in case you were wondering like I was on if it was wired right it goes: red = main battery, brown = ground , the black we wired to the load reduction relay on the back of the fuse panel (the wire that brings in power to it) , blue/red = whatever your powering. I'm using it to power a fridge unit that I'm installing. We used wire testers to check the power to all the lines. That was the only way that we found to check that it was working...... hope this helps, have fun, Tracy 85' GL "Ripple"

Anyway, I hooked up per the instructions my new optima and was wondering how I can troubleshoot this to ensure it is actually working., for example, can I pull the ground off my main and will the optima second start it (and will this show that it is properly connected?) Really want to ensure that the main battery is isolated but that when the key is "on" that I am recharging the optima

Thanks in advance
