I want to change the blue temp. sensor on my 87 Westy. Can I do this without draining & bleeding the system? I would obviously do this with the engine cold. Any thoughts on this?

I changed my idle control unit today to solve a high idle problem . Thanks to David Jaffe for letting me try one of his last Saturday. So far so good.
