Thanks for all the replied to the cutting out problem this morning. I can home after work today and replaced the AFM as a few of you all suggested. I have 2 rubber boots the go from the afm to the air body on the intake neither of which had holes or was lose.The AFM had been giving me a few problems every once in a while but never like it did last night. I had a spare one to fit it so i replaced it . I took it out on the high way ran her up to about 70 mph for about 30 mins and she did fine!!! Thanks to you all it was not much of a headache. Now does anyone have a good AFM that will fit a 92 cabriolet engine for the spare replacement? Darrel Combs 88 Vanagon with a 92 cabriolet engine
