Hi Dave,

A couple of thoughts, Are you sure your heat control is working. The wire can break or kink, leaving your heater control jammed in one position no matter what you do with the lever --- my van currently has this problem, but my heater valve is jammed open for full-time heat. Here's a link that will tell you how to check/fix this. http://www3.sympatico.ca/huotx/front_heater_valve.htm You don't mention the rear heater, have you tried it yet? Under the rear seat (in my 84 Westy anyway) is wooden box covering the heater core. On the passenger side of the box is a hole giving you access to a lever which turns this heater core on. I think you move it forward to get heat. Try it, it might keep you warm while you figure out the front heater problem.

Cheers, Doug Toronto, Canada (we're almost neighbours :-))
