HA HA HA !! so now all you north west coasters can have the joy of your cars rotting out like we do here on the east coast!!! :<)

"WSDOT reminds motorists to wash their cars thoroughly after traveling through mountain passes or other areas where snow and ice have been present, regardless of whether they have driven through a pilot area. All materials, whether salt or other alternative de-icing chemicals, are soluble in water, so the entire vehicle should be rinsed and then cleaned. "

LOL! like PennDOT would ever issue a cautionary statement like that!! .. :< P every year..at the sign of the first snowflake..PennDOT is out in full force assuring us Pennsylvanians that our vehicles will last no longer than 10 years before rusting in half.. nothing like being stuck behind a salt truck , getting pelted w/ cinders (more like freakin 1" dia rocks) and salt (they color it blue so it looks purty and so they dont salt the same road twice (tho they do anyway - those guys get paid by the hour)

chris 78 caprice beatermobile for the salty roads while the vanagon sits tucked inside the barn.. hey..i've seen what salt does to buses/vanagons..and everything else..
