I mounted driving lights below the regular lights on my '85. I almost never use them or need them...except the time my headlights packed it in on the freeway one night. Saved my fanny, make that really frightened fanny. Since Al the Knoll showed me that I should change my regular lights they're about good enough for most driving now that I have them on relays.

And they are low enough to be useful as fog lights.
