Subject: Is the Idle control module adjustable or is it just bad?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

If the idle HC's are 339 with a co of .59 and when just off idle (the throttle switch is closed) it drops to below 79, does this mean that the module is not functioning correctly?

When I turn the A/C on, the idle does not increase nor does the idle increase when when the power steering is turned to lock-out.

Adjusting the air flow meter does not have any effect on the HC's.

Does anyone have a good KNOWN working idle control module for sale, OR

Does anyone in the Raleigh, NC area have one to test with? I could meet this weekend to test?

I put the stock VW fuel pressure regulator back in, and the power has increased in the upper power band. The adjustable fuel pressure regulator would drop the fuel pressure to 20 psi when the throttle was opened and increased as the load increased. This put the engine in a lean condition. The stock VW fuel regulator limits the drop in fuel pressure to 29 psi. The increased fuel pressure has increased the mid to upper power bands. I was able to put the air flow meter back to the original setting. After a short preliminary test, milage has increased. More to follow...

Robert
