Greetings List,

After a couple of days on the topic of emergency brake adjustments, I've learned a couple of things that may help others. First as Mark Drillock pointed out, that even though the rear brakes are self adjusting, they may in fact not be. This can show up as a need to adjust the parking brake. So if your parking brake engagement seems to need more travel, then consider the self adjustment mechanism is in need of service or replacement.

Often a parts co will list a hardware kit, springs, washer, retaining pin & etc. You can replace the self adjusters, but I have ask for them specifically, as they don't come with most kits, and yes I have had them come with a couple of kits but it's uncommon.

Sincererly,

Mark Keller 91 Carat.
