I have a dash mounted digi-tool so I can monitor the ecu inputs. My O2 sensor input has .5 default until the O2 sensor heats up and it generates a signal above .5. So when you hook up the O2 sensor if it's sending a .85 reading that is what the ecu input should show. Maybe a break in the wire going to the ecu???

On a seperate note, my observations have been that the ecu doesn't start adjusting the fuel mixture until it has the O2 above .5 and the temp 2 sensor needs to show the engine is warm.
