Well I went thru the 25 pin ECU ohmmeter test and all the engine wiring passed. The cutting out is still here. I spent another six hours today. It's not the grounds, or power supply . If it were, the test would find it. The tach needle would zero if the power as interupted.

It's not broken or loose wires , or battery connections. it's not the AFM, or Hall sender, or Hall control, or injectors, or fuel pump, or filter.. Everything in the system that I have tested has passed. I remember reading other postings of listees who have put all new parts and still the problem existed. So naturally i don't feel like doing the same .

It's not air leaks. Even removing the dipstick causes the engine to stumble, as this fuel injection system is very sensitive to unmeasured air. It has to be something, of course. Back out of the driveway, give it the gas -ka-chunk ka-chunk -ka-chunk.

Now I fear that next it will be ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching!

Look-it's already Thanksgiving eve! I had thought for sure a week ago I would have this fixed.

Now, since I haven't had the need to go to any VW shops before,(Six years of reliability) I may have to throw myself into the hands of a techinician. . I know such a person a few hours drive away-just happens to be a conversion specialist, and is only the next town over from where my in-laws live and where I'll be this Sunday. I'll drive my bucko over there-that's gonna be fun.
