But beware .... You are about to enter the "Fanatically Obsessed Zone".

Takes about 3 months, creeps up on you and suddenly .... Bam,

Your spending $275.00 on a Beautiful South African Vanagon Leather
Steering wheel or
100 bucks on a cool 18 bulb LED reading light.

But help is at hand ... We are your support group.

Then again, about all we can do is enable this behaviour.

You are doomed.

Advise ....... Two things.

One ...... Buy the Bentley Manual ........ Take it with you everywhere
go. Leaf thru it, skim it, read it cover to cover. Put it on the bed
side table ..... Read it every night before drifting off to dreams of
camping on mountain tops .. Above the clouds.

Two ...... Get an all you can eat internet connection and spend the next
three months devouring the Vanagon.Com Archives.

Subject: I got it! 89 Vanagon Westy

You might remember me asking for advice on buying this 89 Westy. I
bought it. And I like it. I really really like it. Thanks to everyone
for your help. It's super clean and no rust (rare in the Detroit Metro
Area). Now for my next set of questions. What should I do next? In
respects to taking care of the Van. This is my first Camper Van, so I'm
kind of green at this. But I do own a 98 GTI VR6 that work on quite
regularly. Mostly upgrading go fast parts. Any help would be nice. And I
do have maintance records since 92.
