Volks,

The conversion kits I had talked about earlier this year are now available for delivery. This kit uses a brand new 1.9 TDI with mechanical pump control (similar to the older TD engines), and includes all mounts, hoses, exhaust, intercooler, etc.; basically all parts needed to convert a Vanagon wasserboxer model to TDI. This kit mounts the engine in an upright configuration and includes a 100mm raised deck panel. For use in a Westfalia, it would require modification to the rear cabinet or fabrication of a custom engine lid to provide clearance over the engine, which is centered in the van. These conversions are vibration-free, utilizing VW's newer hydraulic mounts, and have been OK'd for sale in CA. Email me for details and pricing.
