If standard valve cover gaskets leak .......... Remove the spring bails and re tension them then install new valve cover gaskets. Inspect the valve covers by seeing if they rock on the sealing surface of the head before you install new valve cover gaskets. If the covers are straight, the bails are tight and you have new gaskets but still have leaks, suspect crankcase pressure from broken rings.
