Hello all. A brief update on my 86 gl. A month ago my coolant tank sprung a leak . Replaced it and was trying to find the reason why. Found that I am getting exhaust gases in the system. Only when it is stone cold. After 5 min no more bubbles. N external evidence of colant leaks. It would seem that i can go a week and the tank is down by 1/4 ( air space). Has never over heated and runs to mid l.e.d. on the gage. I have gotten rather good and quick bleeding the system. I know that it is head replacement/repair time. I have access to two known good (FREE) engines( parted out running vans) but would like to run them on a stand to make sure the heads /cylinders are not leaking. This is going to be my spring project so I have some time to sort this issue out. Any ideas as to how i can set this up?
