Karl, those symptoms describe what my GoldBrick (86 Syncro passenger Vanagon) experienced. In my case I paid and replaced the entire drive shaft (both U joints were frozen). The vibration went completely away... Of course about a month later I lost the rear transmission (total lock up) and replaced it too... (The GoldBrick isn't named just for its color...) |
