Volks,
85 WESTY FOR SALE
Offering it to the list/group at what I hope is a discounted asking
price.
List Member Asking Price: $4000
I'll be listing her at EP.COM & Auto Trader for $5500-$6000 which I
think is closer to true market value.
Although .. other view points very welcome.
The Bad News is: She has a Salvage Title
The Good News is: She has a Salvage Title
Good news because it is a very decent vehicle and will allow someone to
get into Westy Ownership at significantly less than market value. Which
is exactly why I purchased it with a Salvage Title. Only problem with a
salvage title is you need to settle for minimum minimum insurance
coverage unless you get appraisals.
I purchased this vehicle as a sort of "Mobile Westy Lab". Before finding
my Syncro I wanted a Vanagon to learn with. A vehicle I could use to get
more comfortable with the Vanagon Westfalia platform. A Van I could try
out various modifications (12 volt lights, Fans, Sat TV etc) before
outfitting the final RoadHaus Trip Vehicle.
This Westy has met or exceeded all my needs and expectations.
She has also been my Daily Driver for over a year and I have done a fair
amount of camping in her without any significant problems.
I will do my very best at "Full Discloser".
If I know it to be good or bad .... so will you.
